How the heck is it September already? The years feel like they keep getting faster and faster.
Some updates, in no particular order:
I'm working on a fall collection that will likely be released towards the end of October. I have been hanging onto some incredible stones that give me such fall vibes, that I can't wait to share with you. I think there will be rings, necklaces, and even a beaded necklace or two. The stones give me leaf-peepin' vibes, if that gives you a feel for what to look forward to!
I learned how to flush set! Some metalsmithing terminology - up until now, I have only ever hand-fabricated bezels and set stones that way. This is when you build a bezel cup that the stone sits in, and then the stone sits above the metal. Flush setting is when you burr down into the silver, and set the stone flush with the rest of the silver, so down into it. I'm really excited for how this will open up some other doors in my work and creative space, and can't wait to explore how I can incorporate this into more pieces.
I'll be vending at the Clover Market in Collingswood, New Jersey on 9/21. This is a market that I've been applying to since I started my business, and I'm so thrilled to have the opportunity to vend this year. I've attended as a customer before, and the event is so magical and so well-curated.
Lastly, I've been plugging away at my YouTube channel and have some videos that I'm really proud of up there. I try to post a new long-form video each week on a Friday, and I tend to post videos of projects that I'm working on at that time. Often, they showcase new skills or show how I make something from start-to-finish. I'm @solarwilds on YouTube as well, if you'd like to check it out.
